Chris Tate

best9lessonchristateChris Tate is a graduate of Glenn Hills High School, 1999-2002, where he played two years JV, four years Varsity letterman. Two-time all academic team, first team ALL CSRA in 2002. Chris was red shirted at Middle Georgia College in 2003. Chris then played at Gordon Colege, 2004 and 2005, where he lead the team in hitting in 2005, .421 average in the Fall, .353 average in the Spring. Chris was signed with North Greenville University and played in 2006, 2007 under former Major Leaguer Time Nihart. In 2006,2007 Chris lead his team in hitting and won two time offensive player of the year. Chris had a .373 average with 28 stolen bases in 2006 and .375 average, with 15 stolen bases in 2007. Chris played summer ball in the MINK league in 2006, featured teams in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, where he hit .312.  Chris was signed to play pro ball with the Evansville Otters of the Independent Frontier League in October 2007.

Chris's specialty as a Best 9 Academy Instructor is hitting. "My goals as an instructor are to equip my students with the mental and technical tools necessary to be excellent hitters and baseball players. I focus on the efficient use of hands, as well as energy toward the baseball, resulting in a more forceful swing. Even more importantly, I wish for my students to approach the game with the utmost confidence."
